I just cant forget that first night I stay at Paye Meadows.. The bon fire and the cloudy environment. It was yesr 2006… When we reached Balakot no one was willing to take us to that delightful place.. when the one jeep driver agreed… There was “Pin Drop silence even at Shogran” and at Paye no one was been there for days… It rained all night… and when I woke up at dawn… I have never seen anything so beautiful like that…

A view of Shogran from Paye Meadows (10,000 feet)… A remembrance for me, as my photographic side was exposed to me at that time..

Inner Lights

October 31, 2008

Inner Lights, originally uploaded by !ShT!@Q.

Let us today turn on our inner light to diffuse any darkness within. Let us allow the light within us to dissolve any anger, sadness, frustration, loneliness, guilt, hate, jealousy, despair, shame, fatigue and any other negative weak emotions we may have.

It is up to us, how we want to live. It is up to us what emotions we want to carry. It is up to us what thought we want to create. Let us choose the thoughts, emotions, actions and behaviors that are beneficial for our inner being and others.

So today and everyday let us turn our inner light and experience Love, Peace, Joy, Creativity and all wonders.

Let us encourage ourselves and others to reveal the light within for we are worthy and deserving of living a glorious life in every way.

May the love and light of God and the Universe surround and protect you, your loved ones and our beloved country, Pakistan.

Will, Skill and Thrill

Will, Skill and Thrill, originally uploaded by !ShT!@Q.

Having the will and the skill are two things that are necessary for an individual to be a man but that alone is not enough for a man must also have desire. The desire to go beyond and to take risks; To climb mountains if you will. Simply because they are there.

Some might call this the need of a thrill seeker. Without the ability to generate the chemical reaction in the brain that seeks excitement or risk that person would not be a man. It is the will with the skill along for the thrill that makes the man. When you have it you’ll know it and if you don’t, well I feel sorry for you. But don’t bother trying to follow me if you don’t got it.

Glimpse over Hunza

Glimpse over Hunza, originally uploaded by !ShT!@Q.

Welcome to Hunza, Northern Areas of Pakistan. Lying under the great mountain ranges of Himaliya, Karakoram, Hindu Kash, Hindu Raj and Pamir. Surrounded by high peaks of above 7000 meters.

ASTONISHING:
Some believe that Hunza name comes from the word Hundeza (meaning small nose in Albanian), from the look of the rock looking like a nose. Also “burushaski” comes from Albanian meaning language of man (burre means man). Word Balta and Rakaposh, both have a meaning in the Albanian language. Balta, is the name of a Hunza swamp, and in Albanian language Balta means mud, and Rakaposh (falling down in Albanian) is the name of the mountain from where ice slides down to the valley. Hunza people have many words and customs similar with the modern Albanians. This history is also told by their elder people.

Here is the snap of all the team of “The Phantom of the Opera”. The one with the mic is Shah Sharahbeel… And I hope someone would be kind enough to bring some notes over the other crew…

First Glance of Karimabad, Hunza, originally uploaded by !ShT!@Q.

When I was dropped at Aliabad, I was wandering here and there to take a look at the legendary Baltit Fort. I learned that its not viewable from there… Had to take a ride to Zero Point, Karimabad. And my first glance to that majestic place is before your eyes… What a view and what a weather it was….

Focus can hurt you or it can launch you to the life you imagine.

Focus creates the opportunity to work on what you say is most important. What is most important often gets lost if your focus is spread.

‘What you focus on, expands’. Have you heard of it before?

With special thanks to Yasir Nasir and Umer Hameed for providing my first experience of this kind… This would never be happening without their dedication with PPG and portraying the bright side of Pakistan.

Shoot with Wonderful Silent Company of Sohail, Imran, Awais and Mangi.
