Picking Jewels

Study a lifetime and you see different colors from the same jewel. The same questions, asked again, may reveal different answers.. Same efforts may result different fruit.
Qurutze Dawdo
October 11, 2008
Another delight from Hunza. A slightly sour soup made from the local dried cheese. Often cooked with sliced chapati. Believed to be stimulant.
Dawdo means soup. Had this one at Hidden Paradise Hotel, Karimabad, Hunza.

Found on the red side, WARM colors have a tendency to communicate warmth, intimacy and relaxation. These colors seem to advance closer to the viewer creating a sense of closeness and comfort. However, intense warm colors such as reds and oranges tend to stimulate and excite the viewer.
Found on the blue side, COOL colors have a calming affect although intensely cool colors (very dark) have a tendency to depress the viewer. Cool colors tend to draw away from the viewer, which is likely why some respond to cool colors with a sense of coolness and reserve.
White: Predominately represents peace, faith, joy, cleanliness and of course, purity.
Orange: Yes, it has some of the same effects as red but to a lesser degree as it combines the energy of red with the happiness of yellow. Brownish oranges create warm, cozy vibes while brighter oranges are fun and lively.
Green: Said to reinforce self-esteem and suggest hope, restfulness and calmness, green is a refreshing color that makes dim seem more vibrant.
Blue: Often signifies harmony, loyalty, peace, depth of feeling, sensitivity, wisdom, confidence and stability.
Purple: Combining the stability of blue and the energy of red, violet can take on the characteristics of blue or red depending on the shade. Often it’s considered a risky, powerful color as the feelings it evokes depend on the shade. Traditionally it signifies royalty, power, justice, nobility and luxury yet it is also associated with depression and suffering. Dark purple can evoke feelings of sadness and frustration while lighter purples can make the viewer feel peaceful, romantic and nostalgic.
Actually I want to title it with name “Colors of Hunza” but found another picture to convey that message to the viewers…
Simly Dam Lake
October 11, 2008
View of simly dam lake from the road to Karoor and Bun..
The Simly Dam is the largest reservoir of drinking water to people living in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The water stored in this dam is fed by the melting snow & natural springs of Murree hills. Simly Dam is located around 30 kilometer north of Islamabad. After 10 – 15 mins drive toward murree coms Barakahu, road is branching off to the right which is marked Simly Dam Road. Usually, it takes around 30 minutes to reach Simly Dam from there. The road is not very smooth and has bumps but the surroundings are beautiful. I prefer you take Lethrar Road, which takes you to Nilor Factory on the way to Kotli Sattian.. Turn left after you cross Nilor.
About 100 meters before the Simly Dam, a road goes directly to Gulahrrda Gali, Patriata. Besie this road, there are small cities like Karor and Bun operated by MKDA (Murre Kahuta Development Authority). Afterwards reach to Gulharra Gali, Patriata.
Trees are Like Pathways

Every rock, every tree seems to hold its own secrets. It was wonderful to wander there with only the wind for company.
And every Tree is like a Pathway… A different story and an impression…
